Douglas County Visiting Nurses will be working with registered vaccinators, Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health and LMH Health, to assist with COVID-19 vaccinations. We are working together to coordinate these efforts and will release details when available. In the meantime, residents interested in entering Phase 2 of vaccinations can complete a survey at dgcoks.org/vaccineinterestform
Information about the Kansas Vaccination Phases can be seen in the graphic below:
LMH and partner organizations are also considering multiple avenues for assisting residents without access to a computer, transportation or who are homebound under the guidance of the Unified Command’s Equity Impact Advisors including:
- For residents without access to a computer, a friend or family member can submit the county’s survey form on their behalf. Individuals can also visit Lawrence Public Library to complete the form online.
- Residents can also request assistance with the form from the Senior Resource Center by calling 785-842-0543 and leaving a message. Staff will return calls during business hours as quickly as they can in the order calls are received.
- Residents seeking assistance navigating vaccine access or transportation can contact United Way at 785-843-6626.
We will release more information as it is available on our website, KansasVNA.org, and social media sites. You can like us on Facebook @KansasVNA to stay up-to-date on information as it comes available.
