Community Outreach Specialist - full-time hours

Job Overview
Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) is seeking a dynamic, self-starter who is ready to hit the ground running to promote our local not-for-profit organization to community stakeholders. This role requires creativity, initiative, and adaptability to serve as the eyes, ears, and voice of VNA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for relationship-building, community outreach, and innovative engagement strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, businesses, and stakeholders to enhance VNA’s presence and impact.
  2. Act as the primary representative of VNA at community events, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives.
  3. Create and implement creative engagement strategies to raise awareness of VNA’s mission and services.
  4. Communicate VNA’s impact effectively through storytelling, presentations, and public relations efforts.
  5. Spend significant time in the community promoting VNA while balancing office-based tasks such as planning, reporting, and follow-up.
  6. Adapt and innovate outreach efforts to align with community needs and organizational goals.


Qualifications & Skills

  1. Proven ability to take initiative and work independently while collaborating with a team.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse audiences.
  3. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Experience in community outreach, public relations or marketing.
  5. Flexibility to work outside of traditional office hours as needed for events and meetings.
  6. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in marketing OR minimum of five years’ experience working in the areas of development, event management, marketing and public relations, preferably in health care or not-for-profit.
  7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud

Home Health Team Manager - full-time hours
VNA is hiring a full-time Home Health Team Manager for our nursing staff. The Home Health Team Manager provides clinical coordination consultation to ensure appropriate care and quality of service and confers with all disciplines and ancillary services to provide quality care to patients. QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree with suitable operational experience or other clinical health care professional with suitable operational experience, in good standing and able to meet all federal and state licensure requirements , five years’ clinical experience with a minimum of three years’ experience in a management or lead clinical role. Home health experience preferred.
