Volunteer with Visiting Nurses: Make a Difference in the Lives of Others
At Visiting Nurses, hospice volunteers play a vital role in providing comfort, companionship, and support to our patients and their families. Volunteers are integral members of our hospice team, and we greatly value the time, care, and skills they contribute. Whether you can commit once a week or once a month, there are numerous opportunities to volunteer based on your availability and interests.
Hospice Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer directly with patients and families, offering companionship and respite care to caregivers. Assignments are flexible and typically last a couple of hours once a week, based on your schedule. No prior medical knowledge is required.
We seek retired veterans, active military members, and ROTC participants to offer companionship to our veteran patients. Volunteers can visit once a week to once a month, offering friendly visits, caregiver respite, or assistance with honoring veterans during service ceremonies or on specific holidays.
Assist with general office tasks, including filing, mailings, and event support. Help is needed approximately 2 times per month, with a flexible schedule.
If you have a special skill or interest that you would like to share, we would love to hear from you!
